Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin held a number of working meetings with representatives of the competent authorities of the Swiss Confederation
On February 27-28, Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin visited the Swiss Confederation. During the visit, Mr. Yenin held a number of meetings with the heads of the Federal Department of Justice, the Office of the Attorney General and the Swiss Foreign Ministry.
There was a discussion with the Swiss partners about the state of bilateral cooperation in actual criminal proceedings against former high-ranking officials and their environment, as well as possible mechanisms for the repatriation of criminal assets.
In addition, during the meetings, special attention was paid to bilateral cooperation in the field of combating cybercrime.
Deputy Prosecutor General also thanked the competent authorities of the Swiss Confederation for identifying and recovering criminal assets.
"The constructive approach of the Swiss party on the issues of international legal cooperation during the criminal proceedings can serve as an example for many foreign jurisdictions," said Mr. Yenin.
