Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko held the meeting with representatives of the Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
On March 21, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met with the co-rapporteur Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States of the Council of Europe of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Eerick-Nills Kross, who wass on a working visit to Ukraine.
Head of the Council of Europe's Office in Ukraine Мårten Ehnberg also attended the meeting.
During the event, Yurii Lutsenko outlined the work results of the Office in 2017, including progress in combating corruption and investigating resonant criminal proceedings.
In particular, the parties discussed the state of the investigation of crimes during the Revolution of Dignity and ex-high-level officials, as well as ongoing judicial reform.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine noted the cooperation and assistance provided by the Council of Europe in the process of reforming the prosecutor's offices and the main tasks of the Office for the current year.
Eerick-Nills Kross positively assessed the information on the work of the prosecutor's offices and expressed his conviction in further development of the constructive interaction between the PGO and the institutions of the Council of Europe.
