Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met with the delegation of the American Foreign Policy Council
On April 4, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko held a meeting with the delegation of the American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC), headed by its President German Pearcher.
During the meeting, Mr. Lutsenko thanked the guests for the cooperation and assistance provided by the American party and outlined the successes of the Office during the last two years activity.
The parties discussed progress on combating corruption, as well as the challenges that necessitate constructive cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the state.
"One of the main tasks for the current year is the continuation of work on the reform of the prosecutor's offices, it is necessary to finally break the stereotypes of the Soviet system of governance. The work of the prosecutor's self-government bodies and the independent QDCP, as well as access to the prosecutor's office for young specialists, has already been provided. The grass has to break through the asphalt, "said the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting also exchanged views on the prospects of judicial reform and its impact on the quality and efficiency of the administration of justice.
