Delegation of the Prosecutor’s Offices of Ukraine held a working visit to the Republic of Moldova
During November 28-30, 2017, a delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, the National Prosecution Academy of Ukraine, the Prosecutor Council of Ukraine, the Prosecutor's Qualifications and Disciplinary Commission visited the city of Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) on prosecutorial self-government issues.
The event was organized with the assistance of the Council of Europe project "Continued Support to the Criminal Justice Reform in Ukraine", which is implemented with the financial assistance of the Government of Denmark.
Within the framework of the visit, the Ukrainian party had a meetings with representatives of the High Council of Prosecutors of the Republic of Moldova, Colleges for the selection and transfer of prosecutors, assessment of prosecutors, discipline and ethics, as well as with colleagues from the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Moldova, the National Institute of Justice and the High Council of Magistracy.
The subjects for discussions were issues of professional training, career development and the application of disciplinary sanctions against prosecutors, the experience of the prosecutor's self-government bodies, as well as institutional and organizational aspects of the reform of the prosecutor's office in both countries and the establishment of bilateral cooperation.
This event was a consistent step towards supporting from the abovementioned Council of Europe Project on improving the work of the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office.
