Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko held a working visit to the Republic of Turkey
The delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine headed by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko was on a working visit to the Republic of Turkey.
During the visit on September 26, the delegation met with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey Abdulhamit Gül, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Süleyman Soylu and the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Province of Ankara Yuksel Kojiman.
During the meetings, Turkish colleagues were informed about the reforms carried out in the office, as well as the work results of the prosecutor's office in the fight against organized crime and corruption.
The parties discussed a number of actual issues of bilateral cooperation in the criminal law field, in particular the implementation of international legal orders in criminal proceedings. In addition, the Ukrainian delegation had an opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of Turkish competent authorities.
Mr. Lutsenko also thanked the Turkish side for the consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to the meetings, the participants expressed confidence in the further constructive bilateral cooperation.
In addition, during the visit the Prosecutor General of Ukraine together with the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Affairs ofCrimean Tatars Mustafa Dzhemilev met in Ankara with representatives of the Crimean Tatar diaspora.
