Yurii Lutsenko held the meeting with the representatives of the International Anti-Corruption Advisory Board
On November 29, 2017, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met with the representatives of the International Anti-Corruption Advisory Board on the Corruption Prevention.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine informed foreign colleagues about the work results of the prosecutor's offices of Ukraine in combating corruption, including in criminal proceedings against former high-ranking officials.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the reforming process of the law enforcement agencies, in particular the formation of the State Bureau of Investigations, the final deprivation of the investigative function of the prosecutor's office, the formation of an anti-corruption court, and the interaction of state authorities in combating criminality.
"It is possible only with joint efforts to create an effective system that would make such a shameful phenomenon as corruption impossible," - said Mr. Lutsenko.
Summing up the meeting, the parties noted its constructive character and expressed hope for the future cooperation.
