Delegation of the Prosecutor General 's Office of Ukraine took part in the 8th Eastern European and Central Asian Regional Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors
The First Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Storozhuk and Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin took part in the 8th Eastern European and Central Asian Regional Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors, held June 26-28, 2017 in Tbilisi (Georgia).
The abovementioned event topic was discussing issues of combating cybercrime and returning illegally obtained assets.
Participants of the conference had an opportunity to exchange experience on the use of open sources in criminal proceedings (including during the investigation of cybercrimes), the use of international cooperation channels for the exchange of evidence of the acquisition of property by criminal means, the tracing of illegally acquired property abroad through procedures other than "classical" requests for mutual legal assistance, and other actual issues for combating transnational organized criminality.
Representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine informed foreign colleagues about the recent achievements of the agency in the field of returning illegally obtained property, practical aspects of accelerating international legal cooperation on these issues, as well as successful international operations in combating cybercrime conducted with the participation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Participation of representatives of the agency in the conference was another step in deepening cooperation between prosecutors of Ukraine and their foreign counterparts as well as promoted to strengthen working relations with them.
