Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin met Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze

On February 22, the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin in the framework of his visit, met the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze.

Parties discussed common challenges concerning  counteraction armed aggression and possible ways of solutions, including cooperation with the International Criminal Court.

Aside it was agreed to exchange experiences in cooperation the prosecution with Europol and Eurojust, as well as administration of social networking within the international legal cooperation in criminal proceedings.

Mr. Shotadze shared developments Georgian party in the criminal justice system reform in Georgia and promising strategy for the agency.

In his turn, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine informed about the main tasks Ukrainian agency in this area.

"Our goal is not only to implement effective reform of the prosecutors’ offices, but at the same time to ensure the rule of law in the country and execution for the Ukrainian society demands by the prosecutors," - said Mr. Yenin.
