The representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine visited the United States of America
The delegation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin, together with the representatives of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, visited the United States of America.
Within the framework of the visit, the Ukrainian law enforcement officers held a number of productive working meetings with the representatives of the U.S. competent authorities, during which they discussed the features of international cooperation in criminal proceedings, as well as the ways of recovery of criminal assets transferred abroad back to Ukraine.
In addition, the Ukrainian delegation had a practical opportunity to learn about the features of organization and operation of the U.S. competent authorities, their competence, authority, performance results, etc.
In their turn, the American colleagues highly appreciated the efforts of the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in the field of investigation of crimes committed by the former senior officials and assured of their unfailing support to Ukrainian investigators and prosecutors. They also noted the efficiency of the Ukrainian party in organization of execution of the requests for legal assistance in criminal proceedings, including over computer fraud.
As a result of the visit, the effective working relationships with the representatives of the U.S. competent authorities have been established and the ways for further constructive cooperation have been agreed.
