The delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine headed by Anzhela Stryzhevska visited Madrid (Kingdom of Spain)
On April 9-11, 2019, the delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, headed by the Deputy Prosecutor General, Anzhela Stryzhevska, took part in the round table on "Counteraction to Organized Crime, as well as Crimes Related to Drugs and Trafficking in Human Beings", which took place in the Intelligence Center for Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime, Madrid (Kingdom of Spain).
During the event, issues related to the activities and powers of the Intelligence Center, procedures for the provision of prosecution and the management of the proceeds of crime, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation in the specified directions were considered.
In addition, during the visit, the delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine held a working meeting with prosecutors of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Spain.
During the meeting, the sides discussed ways of improving the implementation of joint measures in the areas of combating corruption, returning criminal assets, investigating financial offenses, identifying beneficiary property, as well as improving cooperation on the execution of requests for international legal assistance and extradition during criminal proceedings.
"Communications of law enforcement agencies in the areas of counteraction to organized crime and corruption, as well as the exchange of relevant experience, will facilitate a more rapid exchange of information and, consequently, referral of appropriate criminal proceedings to the court", - Anzhela Stryzhevska said.
As a result of the undertaken measures, the parties expressed confidence in the need for further constructive bilateral cooperation.
