Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has completed the extradition procedure of the Lithuanian citizen to the United States of America

As a result of successful cooperation with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has completed the extradition procedure of the Lithuanian citizen to the United States of America.

The specified person for a long time was searched by the U.S. law enforcement agencies on suspicion of committing ten serious transnational cyber crimes and was detained as a result of a special operation by the National Police of Ukraine in October this year in the territory of Ukraine.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has decided to extradite the person to the United States of America under a simplified procedure, and today he has actually been transferred to the competent authorities of this country.

This example of cooperation is unique as it is the first extradition from Ukraine to the United States of America under a simplified procedure. The Prosecutor General's Office continues to improve mechanisms for cooperation with foreign partners.
