Delegation of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine headed by Yurii Lutsenko held a working visit to the People's Republic of China
On June 25, 2018, a working visit of the delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine headed by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko to the People's Republic of China started for holding meetings with representatives of the Chinese competent authorities.
First of all, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met with the Attorney General of the People's Prosecutor's Office of the People's Republic of China Zhang Jun.
During the meeting, the parties shared best practices in the process of reforming the prosecutor's offices and the importance of the prosecutor role in criminal proceedings.
There were reached the agreements on the practical experience exchange in the implementation of modern IT tools at the offices, as well as the introduction of joint training modules in specialized educational institutions.
"The progressive experience and modern approach to the investigation of criminal cases will surely provide an opportunity to increase the efficiency of the work of the prosecutor's offices of Ukraine," Yurii Lutsenko said.
"One of the key tasks of the reform of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine is the introduction of e-document flow and e-case management. After all, at a time when we do endless paper work, criminals moving to the cryptocurrency and "cloud" storages", - emphasized Mr. Lutsenko.
At the same time, the Attorney General of the People's Prosecutor's Office of the People's Republic of China Zhang Jun expressed his interest in further cooperation between the prosecutor's offices of both countries in such priority areas as fighting with smuggling, cybercrimes, human trafficking and money laundering.
"Recent achievements of the Ukrainian party in the field of asset recovery is really impressive. I hope that within joint efforts we will be able to make further progress in overcoming corruption and legalizing incomes,"- said Zhang Jun.
