Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met with Deputies of the European Parliament
On January 30, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko met with the deputies of the European Parliament, leaders of the informal group "Friends of European Ukraine" Petras Auštrevičius and Rebecca Harms, and Kayya Callas.
The parties discussed actual issues of the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office, perspective ways of combating corruption and reforming the prosecutor's offices of Ukraine.
"I am deeply concern that during past two years, the prosecutor's offices has undergone major changes, which will become the basis for the independent and highly professional work of prosecutors," said Mr. Lutsenko.
Representatives of the European Parliament confirmed about the readiness for effective support of the agency in different fields, as well as assistance in implementation of the initiated directions for improving the work of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Following the meeting, there were agreed on further interactions in the matters of common interest.
