Delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin held a working visit to Romania
On October 26, 2017, within the framework of the working visit to Romania, the delegation of the Office headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin met with the Chief Prosecutor of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism at the High Court of Cassation and Justice Daniel Horodniceanu.
During the event, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at ensuring a common approach to combating organized crime, terrorism and other grave crimes.
Mr. Yenin highlighted the importance of this document to facilitate bilateral cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and Romania in the criminal field, including in the fight against organized crime.
"The memorandum provides opportunities for finding new ways to combating trans-border criminality in the framework of existing international treaties and strengthens the fruitful cooperation of law enforcement officers of both states," - said Deputy Prosecutor General.
The participants of the event discussed the implementation of measures aimed at combating international crimes and agreed on further joint steps in this direction.
