Delegation of the Prosecutor’s Offices of Ukraine headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin held a working visit to the headquarters of the European Union's Judicial Cooperation Unit
On November 13, 2017, during a working visit to The Hague (Kingdom of the Netherlands), the delegation of the Prosecutor’s Offices of Ukraine headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhenii Yenin met with the President of Eurojust Ladislav Hamran and Chair of the External Relations Team at Eurojust Lukáš Starý.
During the event, the parties discussed practical issues of the Agreement on Cooperation between Eurojust and Ukraine implementation, in particular new opportunities in the field of combating organized crimes, which opened for law enforcement bodies of our state in connection with the signing of the said agreement.
Mr. Yenin also congratulated Mr. Hamran on his appointment to the post of President of Eurojust and expressed confidence in the further intensification of relations between the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and an international organization.
"The entry into force of the Cooperation Agreement opened a new dimension of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Eurojust member states on combating cybercrime, corruption, trafficking in human beings and other serious cross-border crimes. Support from such an influential international organization will be a powerful impetus for the work of Ukrainian law-enforcement agencies," - said Deputy Prosecutor General.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on further steps of cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
