The investigation into the former head of the Odessa CCC and JV was completed. He is accused of forging documents and obstruction of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General, the pre-trial investigation concerning the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has been completed.

He is accused of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period, organizing the inclusion of knowingly false information in official documents, and using a forged document (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 366, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The defense has been granted access to the materials of the criminal proceedings for familiarization in accordance with Article 290 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The investigation established that the suspect, acting in collusion with other individuals, organized the inclusion of false information in official documents about allegedly sustaining an injury in the premises of the Odesa Military-Civil Administration, related to the defense of the Motherland. Based on this information, false documents were produced – an order on the results of the service investigation and a certificate regarding the circumstances of the injury.

Subsequently, using the forged certificate, the former head of the TCK and SP created obstacles in the work of the Military Medical Commission of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Southern Region and the military unit. His actions made it impossible to fulfill the defined tasks regarding the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, personnel training, and medical support for the personnel and veterans.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support were carried out by employees of the State Bureau of Investigations.

Note: According to Part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
