The organizer of the illegal transportation of men to Poland was detained
11.11.2025
At the end of October 2025, a resident of the Volyn region, illegally staying in Poland, organized a scheme to profit from smuggling conscripted men abroad. He involved a resident of Lviv, who was a driver, in the operation.
The organizer found a "client" in one of the "Telegram" communities and offered a pedestrian crossing into Poland outside of the checkpoints. He instructed the conscript on how to avoid control and safely cross the state border. After receiving the agreed amount of 300 US dollars in his crypto wallet, the organizer sent the planned route with coordinates and additional instructions. The remaining amount of 600 US dollars was paid in cash by the "client" to the Lviv resident when they were on their way to the departure point.
The driver’s accomplice was detained in early November under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in a border area shortly after receiving payment for the services. The organizer of the scheme was transferred to Ukraine three days later and detained under Article 615 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Under the procedural guidance of the Sheptytsky District Prosecutor's Office, both men were notified of suspicion of facilitating the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Preventive measures in the form of detention with the right to bail have been chosen for the suspects.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Sheptytsky District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region, with operational support from the 7th Border Detachment of the Carpathian Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Migration Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
