A man who has been detained that corrected the blow of the Russians in the center of Kropyvnytskyi on July 28, 2025

Under the procedural guidance of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office, law enforcement officers detained a local resident who, according to the investigation, provided information to the Russians for drone strikes on the center of Kropyvnytskyi.

As a result of the attack on July 28, 2025, buildings of the Kirovohrad Regional Philharmonic, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region, the Central Ukrainian State University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko, and several residential buildings were damaged.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine immediately after a video camera was installed to monitor in real-time the movement of railway cars in a strategic direction.

Prosecutors of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office informed him of the suspicion of treason committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the man collected and transmitted information about the location of strategic facilities and the movement of military equipment in the region to an employee of the FSB of the Russian Federation. The "earned" money was sent to his cryptocurrency wallet. In correspondence with the enemy, the suspect expressed a desire to travel to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine to participate in hostilities on the side of the aggressor country.

Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure — detention — is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support are carried out by the SBU Office in the Kirovohrad region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
