The Volyn Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region legally reclaimed nearly 59 hectares of land located within the border strip from illegal possession and returned it to the state in July of this year. The total value of the returned land is 173 million UAH.

The Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region won a lawsuit in the Economic Court of Lviv Oblast for the return of real estate (warehouse premises near Lviv) to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with a total area of 1,209 sq. m, valued at 23.8 million UAH.

In addition, the court accepted for consideration a lawsuit from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region regarding the obligation to vacate the land plot of the Taryutyn artillery range. The area of the range is 23.8 thousand hectares, valued at nearly 31 billion UAH.

Its lands were illegally seized by local authorities. Throughout 2022–2024, prosecutors defended the state's rights on behalf of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine regarding this range in the courts.  Thanks to the intervention of the prosecutor's office, the lands of the military range were returned to the state.

At the same time, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region established that the land plot is being illegally used by a hunting and fishing enterprise for agricultural purposes. The prosecutor filed a lawsuit to the court to obligate the vacating of the land plot of the military range for its intended use.
