A man was exposed for transporting conscripts to Moldova for USD 9,000

At the end of February 2025, a man offered a resident of Donetsk region transportation to the Republic of Moldova for 9 thousand US dollars, bypassing checkpoints and official border crossing points. During a meeting in Dnipro, he assured him of safe passage across the Dniester River and advised on how to avoid encounters with the water patrol.
On June 7, 2025, the man helped the client check into one of the Dnipro hotels and received 1.5 thousand US dollars as an advance for renting a car, which they were supposed to use to reach the Vinnytsia region. On June 12, the accused received another 800 US dollars. During the trip the next day to Mohyliv-Podilskyi, the man paid the organizer 6.2 thousand US dollars.
Upon arrival at the riverbank, the transporter was detained by law enforcement officers.
Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the court for the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The man faces 7 to 9 years in prison, along with a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to 3 years and confiscation of property.
