Under the procedural guidance of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated under the legal qualification of — part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (committing war crimes that resulted in the death of a person).

At night, on September 23, the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region with ballistic missiles.

Resort areas were hit.

As a result of the attack, one civilian, a 60-year-old woman, was killed.

Two civilians sustained injuries: a 66-year-old man and a 49-year-old man. One of the victims is in the hospital.

Buildings of two recreation centers were destroyed. Additionally, the premises of 3 recreation centers, 4 premises housing company offices, and 3 vehicles were damaged.

Prosecutors are working at the scene together with SBU and police officers.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by territorial police units.
