Under the procedural supervision of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office, the investigators of the Main Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, with the operational support of the Main Directorate 'D' of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the Security Service of Ukraine, notified five members of an organized group of suspicion for fraud, legalization of property obtained through crime, abuse of official position, and unauthorized actions with information (part 3 of Art. 362, part 2 of Art. 364, part 4 of Art. 190, part 2 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in May–July 2021, a group of individuals, using forged documents, misappropriated land plots of the State Enterprise "Kyiv Forestry" in the village of Kryukivshchyna, Buchansky district, Kyiv region. This concerns 4 plots with a total area of 6.2 hectares, with a market value of over UAH 27.8 million, which were partially overlapping with the lands of the forest fund.

Subsequently, the organizers, in order to legalize the illegally acquired property, resold it and divided it into smaller plots to conceal its original origin.

Additionally, the involvement of the same individuals in the illegal registration of another 27 land plots with a total area of about 28 hectares, mainly within the forest fund of the Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky district, has been established. The operations for land registration and division, valuation, and title registration were conducted with the participation of the same land managers, valuation entities, and private notaries in a short period of time, indicating the coordination of actions.

The total damage caused to the state exceeds UAH 38 million. The land plots have been seized to prevent their further alienation.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
