A man was exposed who was passing on information about strategically important objects in Kropyvnytskyi to the enemy

Under the procedural guidance of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office, a man has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — treason committed in conditions of martial law. 

It was established that the man communicated via Telegram with a representative of the Russian special services. Carrying out his tasks, he took photos and videos of military and strategic sites in the regional center — areas near military units, industrial enterprises, administrative buildings, and infrastructure facilities. He documented the locations of structures, adjacent territories, vehicles, and also attempted to track the movement routes of certain individuals.

Law enforcement officers detained him while he was carrying out another assignment from his curator. The illegal activity has been halted.

He is in custody.

The sanction of the article provides for 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
