In Kiev, members of a criminal organization who organized round -the -clock courier delivery were detained in the capital and in Odessa

Under the procedural supervision of the prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office and the Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office, 10 members of a criminal organization who were engaged in the sale of cocaine in Kyiv and Odesa during the curfew were notified of suspicions.
The suspects, among them two illicit business organizers, had set up a network of drug courier jobs that guaranteed the delivery of drugs to customers at all times. For unimpeded trips at night, drivers used fake passes, volunteer certificates and documents of state institutions. Customers on “product” were searched via Telegram, and payment was accepted in cash or on a crypto wallet. The drug couriers themselves, before being hired, were checked on a polygraph.
The price per gram of cocaine per day was 200 US dollars, during the curfew - 250 dollars. Approximately 50 grams of drugs were sold per day.
15 facts of cocaine sales have been documented. During the searches, drug bags sent for examination, fuses for grenades, cartridges of various calibers and draft records were seized from members of the criminal organization.
All the persons involved were detained in accordance with art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
10 detainees were notified of suspicion under parts 1 and 2 of Art 255, part 4 of Art 28, part 3 of Art 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely, in the sale of narcotic drugs as part of a criminal organization. All suspects were given preventive measures in the form of detention without bail.
A person involved who was found with weapons and ammunition during searches was notified of suspicion under part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of articles for selling drugs as part of a criminal organization provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years with confiscation of property.
The actions of the criminal organization were exposed based on the materials of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine along with the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the Security Service of Ukraine. Pre-trial investigation under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City and Dnipro District Prosecutor's Offices is conducted by investigators of the Dnipro Police Department of the National Police Department in Kyiv.
