Fraudulent schemes for taking over apartments belonging to the territorial community were exposed in Dnipro. Damages — more than 2 million hryvnias

Under the procedural guidance of the Central District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Dnipro, two local residents have been notified of suspicion for fraud (parts 4, 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspects fraudulently appropriated apartments in the city of Dnipro that belonged to the territorial community.

In particular, a man illegally registered an unprivatized apartment in his name using knowingly forged documents.

In another case, a woman forged documents and illegally registered an apartment that belonged to her deceased acquaintance. After that, she used a power of attorney issued during the owner's lifetime, which no longer had legal force after his death, and transferred the apartment to her daughter.

As a result of the illegal actions, the community suffered damages amounting to over 2 million UAH.

The investigation is ongoing, and other individuals involved in the illegal activities are being identified.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
