An investigation into an employee of NABU suspected of organizing with his father illegal trade in the Russian Federation is ongoing

The investigation is ongoing against an NABU officer suspected of organizing illegal trade with the Russian Federation together with his father.
The pre-trial investigation body has collected new information related to the possible illegal activities of one of the heads of interregional departments of NABU detectives, who is suspected of organizing illegal trade with the Russian Federation together with his father.
The collected materials contain information about their contacts with citizens of a foreign country, including in the field of commercial relations.
Also, as part of the investigation, data on the availability of communications between these persons and representatives of foreign companies, political figures, and persons who may be in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine are being verified.
Some of the information is obtained during the analysis of electronic media and means of communication, the other – during procedural actions.
The evidence collected is currently being analyzed, as a result of which appropriate procedural decisions can be taken.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, with investigative and procedural actions aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the case and verifying the information obtained in the proceedings.
The Prosecutor General’s Office emphasizes that the investigation concerns exclusively the actions of individuals and in no way concerns the activities of state bodies of Ukraine as a whole.
Measures are being taken to bring to justice all those involved.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
