At least 25 people were injured as a result of an enemy missile attack on the center of Kharkiv: prosecutors document a war crime

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on January 2 at approximately 14:30, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a missile strike on a residential area in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv. A hit on a multi-apartment residential building has been recorded.

Preliminarily, the attack was carried out with two Iskander-type missiles.

As of now, 25 injured individuals are known.

People may be trapped under the rubble.

Several residential buildings, shops, cafes, supermarkets, etc., have been damaged.

Prosecutors, together with police investigators, continue to document the mentioned crime. Information is being clarified. All services are working at the site of the attack.
