Under the procedural guidance of the Shostka District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the commission of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on October 4, 2025, at approximately 11:50 AM, the enemy attacked a passenger train with a drone while it was at the railway station in Shostka waiting for departure. 

A few minutes later, during the evacuation of passengers, another train was hit by a drone.

As a result of the occupiers' attack, as of 1:00 PM, at least 8 people are known to have been hospitalized.

A massive attack on the city is ongoing. 

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the attack.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators from the Shostka District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Sumy region.
