A suspicion has been reported against the acting director of the state enterprise and the contractor. They are accused of embezzling budget funds and official forgery of documents (Part 5 of Article 191, Part 2 of Article 28 — Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in 2022, the suspects embezzled budget funds during the renovation of residential buildings at the sanatorium-resort treatment center in Lviv region, designated for the accommodation of internally displaced persons.

The acting director approved the acts of completed construction work and the certificate of their cost provided by the contractor, which did not correspond to the actual volume. The documents contained inflated volumes and costs of work, which both individuals were aware of.

As a result, the business entity unjustifiably received almost 1.3 million UAH of budget funds.

Currently, the issue of choosing preventive measures for the suspects is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
