The prosecutor's office prevented the construction of a potentially dangerous oil depot in Khmelnytskyi

The prosecution authorities consistently respond to violations of legislation in the field of urban planning and land use, defending the safe living conditions of citizens.

At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Khmelnytskyi, the decision to issue urban planning conditions and restrictions for the design of a complex for the storage of petroleum products and liquefied gas, along with the establishment of a gas station in the regional center, has been annulled.

It was planned that the complex would be built on Geologists Street, near the city markets. The area was to accommodate tanks with a total capacity of about 1800 cubic meters. Such a location could pose risks to people — both for entrepreneurs and visitors to the commercial zone, as well as for residents of the adjacent neighborhoods.

Furthermore, at the time the decision was made, the General Plan of the city did not foresee the placement of high-risk facilities on this site – that is, the construction did not comply with the territorial planning.

The Seventh Administrative Court of Appeal supported the position of the prosecution and recognized the decision of the architecture and urban planning authority of the city council as unlawful.
