With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found the organizer and five members of an organized group guilty of illegal production, storage, and sale of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages (parts 1, 2 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

By the court's verdict, taking into account the degree of participation of each participant in the criminal activity, they were sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 3 years to 3 years and 3 months with probation. The organizer is also required to pay a fine of 110,000 UAH. The illegally produced tobacco and alcohol will be confiscated and destroyed. 

During the court proceedings, the defendants voluntarily transferred 470,000 UAH for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

It should be noted that the illegal scheme for the production and sale of tobacco and alcoholic products, which operated for almost a year, was liquidated in September 2025. 

Members of the organized group illegally produced excise goods at home and sold them in Vinnytsia and other regions.

During the investigation, production tools and packaging materials, nearly 15,000 packs of illegally produced tobacco products, about 4 million filter tips, more than 50,000 finished cigarettes, and over a ton of tobacco were seized. In addition, more than 4,000 liters of alcohol and illegally produced alcoholic beverages were confiscated.  

The value of the seized and arrested property amounts to over 2 million UAH.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Vinnytsia region, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
