Prosecutors of the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office have notified in absentia of the suspicion of an official of the "LPR," who has been collaborating with the occupiers since 2014 to the present day.

According to the investigation, a resident of Luhansk held various positions in the "Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the LPR" for two years after the capture of certain territories in the region. Later, she took a leadership position there and performed the duties of "minister."

In 2023, at the request of representatives of the aggressor state, the suspect became the "first deputy minister." She is responsible for the "reconstruction" of the territory of the pseudo-republic and participates in the meetings of relevant committees.

The woman is charged with voluntarily taking a position in illegal government bodies created in the temporarily occupied territory (part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
