The Prosecutor's Office of Odesa returned the Black Sea coast land worth almost 15 million hryvnias to the community

The prosecution authorities of the Odesa region ensured the return of recreational land that was illegally seized from the ownership of the territorial community.

This concerns 16 plots of land with a total area of 1.54 hectares on the Black Sea coast.

The value of this land is approximately 15 million UAH.

Prosecutors established that a citizen, without legal grounds and without ownership documents, registered ownership of the plots in November 2018, located in close proximity to the water's edge. The woman approached the state registrar of property rights, as a result of which information about the plots was entered into the register based on documents that did not confirm her ownership of this land.

Subsequently, the mentioned plots of land were included in the charter capital of a private enterprise to complicate the process of their return to the community's ownership for law enforcement agencies.

To protect the interests of the community, the Chornomorsk District Prosecutor's Office filed lawsuits in May 2024 with the economic court to reclaim the land from illegal possession.

The court agreed with the arguments of the prosecution and fully satisfied the claim.

Currently, the court decisions have been executed – the ownership rights to the specified plots have already been registered in the name of the Dalnytsia Village Council, ensuring the return of the land to the community's possession.
