Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, two citizens have been notified of suspicion of treason – a resident of Huliaipole and a resident of Dnipro (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation has established that the suspects agreed to cooperate with a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation. The men collected intelligence data on the locations of personnel and equipment positions of the Defense Forces, including air defense forces. They transmitted the information through closed channels in the messenger "Telegram". 

Law enforcement officers uncovered and detained the suspects on October 16, 2025. Currently, by court decision, they are in custody without the right to bail. 

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region. 

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
