Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko held a meeting with the newly appointed FBI Legal Attaché at the US Embassy, Jamie Volkert.
First Deputy Prosecutor General Oleksii Khomenko, FBI Legal Attaché at the US Embassy John Chiappone, and Lantz Nixon also took part in the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko congratulated Jamie Volkert on his appointment and, in turn, thanked John Chiappone for his dedicated work in the position. Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized his hope to deepen cooperation with U.S. law enforcement agencies, particularly with the FBI. The parties specifically agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fight against cyberterrorism and in providing bilateral international legal assistance.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to countering the supply of various weapon components to russia, which the aggressor country uses for weapons production.
“In light of recent events and russia's brazen violation of the European Union's air borders, the issue of russian aggression has already arisen acutely outside the borders of our country. Today, the global security of both the European region and the whole world is under threat, and we must act harmoniously and decisively to resolve this issue”, - noted the Prosecutor General.
The parties concluded the meeting by expressing their appreciation for the constructive dialogue.
