He assumed the position of "senator" and promoted the Russian ideology: a citizen of the Russian Federation will be tried

On October 21, 2025, prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the court against a citizen of the Russian Federation, who is accused of engaging in information activities in collaboration with the aggressor state, disseminating materials that contain denial of armed aggression against Ukraine and the occupation of its territories, as well as publicly approving individuals who participated in the armed aggression against Ukraine (Part 6 of Article 111-1, Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that in December 2022, the accused was appointed by the decree of the "acting governor of Kherson region" as a "senator of the Russian Federation – representative from the executive body of state power of Kherson region".

Having received this status, he systematically engaged in information activities in favor of the aggressor state: he posted propaganda on the resources of the "Federation Council of the Russian Federation" and on his own Telegram channel, justified the actions of Russian military and occupation authorities. He also demonstrated support for the occupying forces—visiting their units in temporarily occupied Kherson region, providing equipment and weapons, handing out awards, and calling for enlistment in the ranks of the enemy.

On the eve of the Russian presidential "elections," he turned his resources into campaign platforms, urging residents of the occupied territories to participate in voting and presenting the results as a "manifestation of the will of the population".

The accused is wanted. He will be tried in absentia.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and confirmed by a guilty verdict of the court.
