In Transcarpathia, law enforcement officers eliminated the International Channel of Human Trade

Under the procedural guidance of the Uzhhorod District Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the city of Chop has been notified of suspicion for human trafficking (part 2 of Article 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect used social networks to find women seeking well-paid jobs abroad. Exploiting the vulnerable state of these women, she convinced two victims to come to Transcarpathia for a personal meeting and subsequent sending to the Czech Republic.
According to the scheme, the recruited women were actually sent to Jordan and Qatar for the provision of sexual services.
Law enforcement officers detained the suspect at the railway station in the city of Chop. She has been placed in custody with the possibility of bail.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators from Police Department No. 1 of the Uzhhorod District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Transcarpathian region, with operational support from the operational units of the migration police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Transcarpathian region and the operational-search department of the 94th border detachment.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
