The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region. Based on the materials from the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a man was sentenced in absentia to 11 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property for collaboration activities and justifying Russian aggression (Part 6 of Article 111-1, Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court also prohibited him from holding positions in government bodies and working in the cultural sphere for 15 years. 

Prosecutors proved that during the occupation of Kherson region, the man voluntarily joined the informational support of the aggressor state: he acted as a host and performer at propaganda events, receiving payment for this in rubles. 

In September 2022, at the site of the illegal referendum, he gave an interview in which he publicly supported the occupation of the region. In addition, the convicted individual administered his own media resource, through which he systematically discredited the Ukrainian authorities and spread fakes about the "liberating" role of the Russian Federation.
