With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a 25-year-old resident of the Kovel district guilty of committing treason in a state of war by prior conspiracy of a group of individuals (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

It was proven that in 2024, the man accepted an offer from an acquaintance for paid cooperation with an employee of the special service of the Republic of Belarus.

Subsequently, until May 2025, the accused sent photos and videos of fortifications near the state border of Ukraine and carried out other tasks assigned to him.

He received monetary rewards for this via transfers to his bank card.

It is worth noting that the man was notified of suspicion in July 2025. He awaited the court's verdict in custody.
