In Vinnytsia region, facts of illegal possession of land were discovered - 8 people were suspected

Prosecutors of the Vinnytsia Regional and district prosecutor's offices, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, have reported suspicions against 8 individuals, including a private notary, co-owners and directors of companies, a private entrepreneur, and the acting head of one of the districts.
They were involved in the registration of land using forged documents and occupied plots without legal grounds. This concerns 11 plots with a total area of over 136 hectares, including lands of the National Park "Karmeliukove Podillya".
The losses to the state and communities amount to over 6 million UAH.
Among the suspects:
A private notary from one of the districts used forged duplicates of wills of deceased citizens to register ownership rights to four land plots (area 10.7 hectares) in favor of third parties, without proper documentation and in violation of the law. As a result of her actions, the legitimate heirs and the village council suffered losses of over 996 thousand UAH.
A co-owner and director of a company illegally acquired ownership of a land plot of 0.8 hectares using a forged order from the district state administration. Subsequently, he legalized this land through division and sale. The losses to the territorial community amount to nearly 3.6 million UAH.
The director of the company unlawfully occupied a land plot of nearly 100 hectares for the cultivation of agricultural crops.
The losses to the state exceed 1 million UAH.
The director of a private agricultural enterprise planted crops on a unlawfully occupied plot of 16.5 hectares. The losses to the state amount to over 204 thousand UAH.
The director of another company unlawfully occupied 3.1 hectares of land within the National Natural Park "Karmeliukove Podillya" for the purpose of planting crops. The losses to the state are about 150 thousand UAH.
Another company director unlawfully occupied 1 hectare of land in the National Park "Karmeliukove Podillya", causing the state losses of nearly 50 thousand UAH.
A private entrepreneur unlawfully used 1.7 hectares of land from the nature conservation fund for planting agricultural crops. The losses to the state amount to 64 thousand UAH.
The acting head of one of the village councils forged a will for a land plot of 2.8 hectares, registering it without the knowledge of the testator in the interests of third parties.
The actions of the suspects have been classified under: part 2, 3 of Article 190 (fraud), part 2 of Article 197-1 (unlawful occupation of land), part 1, 2 of Article 209 (legalization of property obtained by criminal means), part 4 of Article 358 (forgery of documents), part 2, 3 of Article 365-2 (abuse of power by persons providing public services) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The prosecutor's office has prepared a motion for the selection of preventive measures for all suspects.
Pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
