A channel of illegal transportation of men on trains to Poland was exposed in the Lviv region
12.11.2025
Two residents of Vinnytsia were searching for conscripts through personal connections and offered to illegally cross the border by hiding in the compartments of passenger trains traveling from Ukraine to Poland.
For 11 thousand USD each, they provided detailed instructions to the men, helped with disguises, and offered advice on how to pass through border control.
During an inspection of one of the trains, law enforcement discovered a man hiding in a compartment for storing blankets. An administrative protocol was drawn up against him.
Both organizers were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine in November 2025. Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region, they were informed of suspicion for the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine, committed for selfish motives in conspiracy by a group of individuals (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose preventive measures for them.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region, with operational support from the 7th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Migration Police Department in Lviv region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
