Thanks to the prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" has compensated over 3.3 million UAH to the special fund for environmental protection for the damage caused by illegal logging in the territory of the nature reserve fund. The money will be used to eliminate the consequences of environmental damage, restore natural resources, and finance environmental protection programs.

Thus, the Economic Court of Kyiv Region granted the prosecutor's claim against the state enterprise that failed to ensure proper protection of trees from logging in the Tashan Park. As a result, the natural environment suffered damage amounting to over 3.3 million UAH.

The court agreed with the prosecutors' arguments that it is the permanent forest users who are obliged to ensure the protection and preservation of forests. They are also responsible for violations of these duties, particularly in cases of illegal logging in the territories under their jurisdiction.
