In the Kyiv region, a man was notified of suspicion of violent acts against a minor

Under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Brovary has been notified of suspicion for committing violent sexual acts not involving penetration against a person who has not reached the age of fourteen, regardless of their voluntary consent (part 4 of Article 153 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 10 years of imprisonment.

During a nighttime patrol of the city, law enforcement officers discovered a child with an adult man who was in a state of alcohol intoxication. An 11-year-old boy informed the police that an acquaintance had forced him to engage in sexual intercourse a few hours earlier. According to the victim, the man had committed similar sexual acts on multiple occasions.

The suspect has been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are ongoing.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
