Prosecutors of the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office, under the procedural guidance of the head of the prosecutor's office, have notified a 29-year-old resident of Irpin of suspicion for attempted murder of a minor (part 2 of article 15, part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and intentional serious bodily harm (part 1 of article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the man, while in a state of alcohol intoxication, on the evening of October 22, stabbed a 16-year-old girl in the neck and twice in the back.
He acted intentionally, trying to kill her, but was unable to complete the crime because the girl resisted and screamed loudly.
On the same day, the attacker also injured a 50-year-old man—inflicting a stab wound to his back, which caused the victim to sustain serious bodily injuries that were life-threatening.
The next day, the man was detained.
The prosecutor's office has already submitted a motion to the court for detention.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigative department of the Bucha District Police Department.
For his actions, the man faces up to 10 years of imprisonment.
Note: according to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
