The Cherkasy District Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit to terminate the contract and recover penalties.

It has been established that a contract was concluded between the Department of Education and Humanitarian Policy of the Cherkasy City Council and the contracting organization for the capital repair (insulation of the facade) of the "Berehynia" college.

The contractor did not carry out the facade insulation work of the educational institution, violating the terms of the contract and the requirements of the legislation, which harmed the interests of the territorial community and created risks for safe and comfortable learning conditions for children.

The prosecutor's office demands in court: to terminate the contract and recover over 10 million UAH in penalties from the contracting organization for violating the terms of the contract.

The Economic Court of the Cherkasy Region has opened proceedings in the case.

The prosecutor's office will continue to take representative measures to ensure children's rights to quality education, create safe and proper conditions for their learning, and protect the interests of the state in the effective use of budget funds.
