Mass shelling of Ukrainian cities: prosecutors document the consequences of the attack of the Russian Federation

In the evening of October 4 and the night of October 5, Russian troops once again shelled Ukrainian cities. The prosecutor's office is documenting the consequences of war crimes.
Lviv Region
On the night of October 5, a residential building in the village of Lapaivka, Lviv district, was destroyed as a result of an airstrike. A family of four, including a 15-year-old girl, died at the site of the strike. Another family member, as well as two residents of neighboring houses, were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. Three victims received assistance on the spot.
A number of hits on industrial and energy facilities have also been recorded in Lviv and the region. Production and storage facilities, garages, a service station, and energy infrastructure facilities were damaged. A separate fire broke out at one of the gas storage facilities in the region.
Donetsk Region
On October 4 at 22:40, the Russian army dropped FAB-250 aerial bombs from a UAV, hitting an apartment building in Sloviansk.
Two women aged 60 and 70, three men aged 31, 41, and 57, and a minor boy were injured. They were diagnosed with mine-explosive injuries, abrasions, cuts, bruises, and fractures. The victims received medical assistance.
At least 26 houses, over 20 cars, and the facades of shops and cafes were damaged in the settlement. The final consequences of the enemy attack are being established.
Zaporizhzhia
Zaporizhzhia was also under attack from enemy forces: according to the investigation, on the night of October 5, 2025, Russian troops launched a combined strike on Zaporizhzhia and the region. It has been preliminarily established that the enemy used guided aerial bombs and strike UAVs of the "Shahed" type.
One person was killed, and at least 10 were injured, including a 16-year-old girl.
Civil and critical infrastructure facilities were damaged.
One of the enemy strikes hit near high-rise buildings. The shock wave and debris shattered windows, damaged balconies, and one of the buildings had its entrance destroyed. Cars were mangled.
The territories of the private sector in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia and the village of Rozumivka were also under fire.
Information regarding the injured is being clarified.
Prosecutors, together with law enforcement officers, are working at the sites of the events, documenting the consequences of enemy strikes and recording the war crimes of the Russian Federation. Forensic experts, explosives specialists, and judicial experts are involved in the investigative actions.
