The former management of the State Consumer Service of Vinnytsia region is suspected of corruption and abuse - for bribes were distributed to office housing

Under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office, the SBI investigators are investigating criminal proceedings under part 3 of Art 368, part 1 of Art 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The suspects in the case are: the former head of the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer of the Vinnytsia region and the ex-head of the Vinnytsia District Department of the State Production and Consumer Service.

The case has been ongoing since April 2025, when officials offered their subordinate a bribe of USD 12,000 to provide him with official housing in the city of Nemyriv. The employee was supposed to pay an advance at the beginning, and the rest after receiving ownership of the housing.

While receiving 6 thousand US dollars as part of the agreed amount of illegal gain on April 24, the then head of the Vinnytsia District Department of the State Production and Consumer Service was detained. He was notified of suspicion under part 3 of Art 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and a preventive measure was chosen.

Later, as part of the investigation, evidence of the guilt of another official, who at that time was the head of the Main Department of the State Production and Consumer Service in the Vinnytsia region, was obtained. During the search of his place of residence, in particular, cocaine and methamphetamine, which he stored, were seized.

Under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office, on August 8, he was also notified of suspicion under part 3 of Art. 368 and part 1 of Art. 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

A motion was sent to trial to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the bail option in the amount of more than UAH 3 million.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Procedural supervision is carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office, operational support by the Main Operational Department of the SBI.
