28.08.2025
The main goal is to discuss problematic issues of law and order and combating crime in the state, as well as to determine common priorities for further activity.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Prosecutor General and Deputy Prosecutors General Oleksii Khomenko, Mariia Vdovychenko, Maksym Krym, Andrii Leshchenko, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk, Director of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksii Sukhachov, Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivskyi, Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhii Deineko, head of the Military Law and Order Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Head of the Main Department of the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vitaly Levchenko, Minister of Justice of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
At the beginning of the coordination meeting, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko noted that the main priority in the warring country is to ensure the proper recording and investigation of crimes against peace, security of mankind, and the international legal order to build the evidence base for the International Criminal Court and the Special Tribunal.
He emphasized that the number of war crimes had already exceeded 178 thousand and this number is growing every day. “In Ukraine, more than 15 thousand civilians were killed and more than 34 thousand injured, and about 237 thousand civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged. Tonight, the Russian Federation again launched a massive combined shelling of Ukraine. 17 people died in Kyiv alone, including 3 children,” the Prosecutor General added. “It is our duty as the heads of law enforcement agencies to properly record them and do everything possible to ensure that all war criminals are punished”.
In addition, Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized the need to intensify the activity on the solving and investigation of murders of Ukrainian prisoners of war, facts of ill-treatment of them, violations of their right to a fair trial.
In his opinion, countering crimes against the foundations of national security is of great importance for protecting the interests of the state in conditions of armed aggression.
As it has been noted at the meeting, despite the increase in the number of sabotage and crimes of a terrorist nature, which undermine the stability, security, and economy of the state, the security agencies effectively counter them. “However, as the Prosecutor General, I am concerned that minors are involved in cooperation with the enemy. Therefore, it is our duty to expose such facts,” Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized.
