Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office defended the sentence of a resident of Kharkiv, who cooperated with the enemy in the first months of the full-scale invasion, in the Supreme Court.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The investigation and courts established that from February to April 2022, the man transmitted information about the location of Ukrainian military and equipment in Kharkiv to the occupiers through the banned social network «VKontakte». In addition, he distributed publications in which he supported armed Russian aggression and humiliated Ukraine.

Courts of all instances agreed with the arguments of the prosecutors about the guilt of the convicted person and the fairness of the imposed punishment. In turn, the convict himself never admitted his guilt. He's already serving a life sentence.
