Up to 12 years of prison, four river -port expramen were condemned, which provided in the Kherson region the transfer of Russian equipment across the Dnieper

With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, three members of an organized group and one of their "colleagues" - former employees of the river port - were found guilty of aiding the aggressor country, committed as part of an organized group and in conspiracy with a group of individuals (parts 2, 3 of Article 28, part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

By the court's verdict, they were sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. They were also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, state administration, local self-government, and to engage in activities related to the provision of public services for a period of 15 years.

It was proven that the convicted individuals collaborated with the occupying authorities during the temporary occupation of Kherson. One of them - the so-called "director" of the seized branch of the enterprise, supporting the invaders, organized a criminal group that included his acquaintances who held positions as "mechanic of the transport section" and "head of the security service" of the port. In addition, he separately involved the so-called "deputy director for operations" in illegal activities.

Following the instructions of the illegal authorities, the "director" re-registered the enterprise in accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation and organized its operations. On the eve of the liberation of Kherson, he ensured the evacuation of representatives of the occupying administration to the left bank. This was done using seized vessels of "UkrRiverFleet".

Acting in the interests of the aggressor country, the convicted individuals assisted the engineering troops of the Russian Federation in establishing a pontoon crossing near the Antonivskyi Bridge. They organized and ensured the reconstruction of a cargo barge for transporting enemy military equipment, handed it over to the occupiers, and transported a number of tugboats to the left bank.

The defendants also seized vehicles that were on the balance of the enterprise and assisted the occupying authorities in moving vehicles of communal enterprises, including fire trucks and ambulances, to the left bank of the Kherson region. They provided the occupiers with diesel fuel.

In addition, two of the convicted individuals, having access to all port premises, stole office equipment from the enterprise for personal use, worth tens of thousands of hryvnias.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson region.
